Hi everyone I’m Umut!
This is my first Blog. I start with the first essay of my series that I will introduce my profession to you.

WHO IS THIS ARFF?
Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) is special fire teams working for fires that may occur at airports. Firefighters are ready to serve at the airports. This special category of fire-fighting involves incident response, hazard mitigation, evacuation and possible rescue of passengers and crew of an aircraft involved in an aerodrome ground emergency.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) defines the requirements for aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS). The airports are divided into categories according to the density of the flights and the size of the aircraft. Thereby it provides uniform implementation among Member States.
These categories determine the required number of ARFF vehicles and the amount of extinguishing agent. For this reason, different designs are necessary for ARFF tools.

I hope to see you in my next blog!
